The File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council based in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada, has introduced a Lakota Language app that serves as a valuable educational resource. This application facilitates learning through a variety of interactive methods including games, quizzes, and practical exercises. Users can engage with essential everyday categories such as greetings, common phrases, vowels, and expressions.

Significantly, the app emphasizes the importance of preserving the Lakota language for future generations. By providing an accessible platform for both learning and practicing the language, it aims to foster cultural continuity and revitalization.

A noteworthy feature of this project is the collaborative effort that went into its development. The contributions of Hartland Goodtrack, Loriane Yuzicappi, Dallen Yuzicapi, Derian Yuzicapi, Hakinyan Soo-Oyewaste, and Layne Soo-Oyewaste were integral to the creation of this app.
